Officials, Walmart to offer H1N1 clinics

  

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Wake County will open four H1N1 vaccination clinics and Walmart is offering four of their own on Wednesday.

The state clinics will be open from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. at four locations in Raleigh, Fuquay-Varina, Wake Forest and Zebulon.

They will offer the nasal spray vaccine to people who are eligible to receive it within the priority groups.

Healthy children ages 2 to 24, caregivers for children and healthcare and emergency medical services personnel can receive the FluMist nasal spray.

The injectable form of the H1N1 Vaccine will be available to pregnant women, children ages 6 month to 2 years, and anyone with chronic medical conditions or weakened immune system that cannot receive the nasal spray vaccine within the priority groups.

Walmart will offer another round of H1N1 vaccinations at select Walmart stores also on Wednesday in Durham, Winston-Salem, Mebane and Greensboro.

Mollen Immunization will administer the vaccine. The clinics will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Other clinics will be held throughout December at other select Walmart stores.
