Tree falls on mobile home in Carthage

CARTHAGE, N.C. (WTVD) -- A Carthage woman was injured after a tree fell on her mobile home in Moore County.

The accident happened around 5:30 p.m. on Black Street in Carthage, and the injuries sustained to the woman are non-life threatening.

Wind gusts in the area reached 29 mph.

The National Weather Service issued a Severe Weather Alert for surrounding counties.
