SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. (WTVD) -- Two 16 year olds have been arrested in connection with a school lockdown.
Southern Pines police say the two teens approached a man on a bike pedaling along Knoll Road and pointed what looked like a handgun at the victim.
The two were later found on a sports field at Pinecrest High School but fled when police approached. However, they were quickly caught.
Police have determined they were carrying BB guns.
Both teens were taken to jail.
