Two men kidnapped at gunpoint

GOLDSBORO, NC (WTVD) -- Kidnappers took two men out of a car at gunpoint in the Goldsboro area Sunday night.

It happened around 10:30 p.m. on Leonard Drive, off New Hope Road.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said it appears the kidnapping victims were stopped by a white SUV - possible a Ford Expedition - with flashing blue, yellow, and red lights - making it appear to be a law enforcement vehicle.

Once they stopped, six men wearing facemasks took the two victims out of their vehicle at gunpoint, put them in their SUV, and left with them.

The kidnapped men were identified as 48-year-old Geniro Jamis and 24-year-old Israil Aguirre.

Early Monday morning, deputies said the kidnappers released Aguirre, but Jamis was still missing.
