GRANVILLE COUNTY (WTVD) -- A teenager was killed in a car accident Thursday afternoon.
The accident happened on NC 96, north of Oxford. Authorities said 18-year-old Tyrel Thorpe was killed when the car he was riding in pulled in front of another vehicle and struck on the passenger side.
Two others were injured in the wreck, but their names and conditions have not been released.
