HOKE COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Hoke County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting at a Fort Bragg soldier's home.
It happened around 4:45 p.m. in the 100 block of Whitechapel Road near Raeford.
Authorities said two suspects knocked on the front door of the home and then ran around the back and kicked the back door in.
The homeowner, who is a soldier, then fired a shot with his pistol, striking one of the suspects.
The condition of that suspect is unknown. The second suspect is still at large.
The homeowner, who has not been identified, will not be charged.
