FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Investigators have charged a Cumberland County man with killing his 16-month-old son.
A Cumberland County Sheriff's Office spokesperson said 31-year old Evans Aine II, of 2716 Edwards Avenue was taken into custody Thursday afternoon.
He is charged with second-degree murder and felony child abuse.
Investigators said Aine struck and killed Kaeden Demus on June 11. A medical examiner's report determined the child died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head.
