Fatal accident shuts down Hwy 70

GARNER, N.C. (WTVD) -- A fatal accident closed westbound lanes of U.S. 70 Business at I-40 in Garner Sunday night.

Officials confirmed that one person was killed when they were hit by a vehicle just after 10:20 p.m.

The dead person's name was immediately released pending notification of next of kin.
