GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WTVD) -- Investigators with the Wayne County Sheriff's Office said Thursday they are treating the death of an elderly Goldsboro man as a suspicious case.
Ralph Exum Jones, 81, was found dead in his home in the 400 block of Slick Rock Rd. by friends around 11:30 p.m. July 4.
Jones' body was to be taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Chapel Hill for an autopsy.
Detectives asked anyone with information to contact the Wayne County Sheriff's Office at (919) 731-1481 or call Wayne County Crime Stoppers at (919) 735-2255.
