Teen allegedly stabs his grandmother

A Fayetteville teen is facing charges after allegedly stabbing his grandmother multiple times.

Around 7 p.m. Wednesday, police were called to a home in the 800 block of Southview Circle following the report of an assault.

When officers arrived, they found 63-year-old Willie Coakly with several stab wounds.

Police said 19-year-old Adriel Wynn fled the scene after the assault in Coakly's SUV, but was later arrested after he was found with the vehicle.

Wynn has been charged with felony assault with a dangerous weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and is currently being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $75,000 secured bond.
