Crash snarls traffic on I40 at Jones Sausage

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- A crash shut down several lanes of Interstate 40 westbound just after 8 a.m. Monday.

Pictures from DOT cameras showed a vehicle tipped on its side smoking.

Another vehicle appeared to have spun into the median.

Officials said traffic was backing up at Exit 303 Jones Sausage Road.
