Fatal accident closes Wake Forest road

WAKE FOREST, N.C. (WTVD) -- All lanes of NC-96 were closed near Old Pearce Rd due to a fatal accident Tuesday afternoon, according to the Highway Patrol.

The accident happened Tuesday around 3 p.m.

A Ford Mustang and a Chevrolet Suburban were involved in the accident, but officials have not said what caused the crash. There's no word on how many people were injured.
