FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) -- One man was killed in an accident in Fayetteville late Saturday night, police said.
According to officials, 25-year-old Eric Christian drove off Cliffdale Road and crashed into a utility pole near South Reilly Road around midnight.
A passerby noticed the accident and alerted authorities.
No other cars were involved in the crash, but the road was closed for several hours while utility crews replaced the pole.
Police said Christian lived on Fort Bragg.
