Police searching for suspects in Chapel Hill shooting

The Chapel Hill Police Department are searching for three suspects in connection with a shooting that happened outside Time Out Restaurant on West Franklin Street early Tuesday.

Authorities said around 3:30 a.m. one person suffered non-life threatening injuries during an altercation in the parking lot of University Square.

Three suspects were reportedly involved in the incident. They were described as light-skinned African American men, with at least one of them having braids in their hair.

One of the suspects was seen wearing a Nike cap, while another was wearing a grey hoodie. The alleged shooter may have been wearing a red jacket, according to police.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about the suspects to call the Chapel Hill Police Department at (919) 968-2760 or Crime Stoppers at (919) 942-7515.
