CHAPEL HILL (WTVD) -- Campus police at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill say they were doing a well being check on campus when they discovered a weapon and drugs.
According to UNC public safety spokesman Randy Young, officials were checking on Habib Kevin Coulibaly when they reportedly found drugs, paraphernalia, and a machete in his room Monday.
Coulibaly has been charged with possession with intent to distribute manufacture and deliver and misdemeanor weapon on school property.
He was taken to court and given a $2,000 secured bond, according to Young. Coulibaly's case will also be reviewed by UNC Office of Student Affairs.
