Three injured in overnight crash

DURHAM (WTVD) -- Three people are recovering after a bad accident in Durham overnight.

It happened around 1 a.m. near the intersection of Junction and Ferrell roads.

Authorities said a driver lost control and hit a tree. The impact nearly cut the car in half.

The three people inside the car were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Further details about the accident have not been released.
