Heavy fire damages Apex home

No one was injured during a house fire Wednesday evening in Apex.

The fire broke out around 9 p.m. at a home in the 2000 block of Graybark Court.

When crews arrived, there was heavy fire coming from the roof of the home.

Fire officials say no one was home at the time of the fire.

There's no word yet on what sparked the fire, which cause major damage to the attic area. The rest of the home suffered smoke and water damage.
