The Durham Police Department identified a suspect Friday in Monday night's fatal shooting on Fidelity Drive.

Detectives have warrants for 22-year-old James Edward Walker Jr., of Dearborn Drive, charging him with murder. They said he has three teardrops tattooed under his right eye.

The shooting took place in the 1300 block of Fidelity Drive in Cambridge Village around 7 p.m.

Police found Patrick Daniel Holmes, 24, of Durham, lying dead in the road when they arrived at the scene.

Anyone with information on Walker's whereabouts is asked to call Investigator M. Evans at (919) 560-4440, ext. 29336 or CrimeStoppers at (919) 683-1200. CrimeStoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases and callers never have to identify themselves.
