Speaking up is the key to saving. We found several local restaurants and stores that offer daily discounts but you will never see them advertised.

Chick-fil-A:  (Because they are individually owned, each restaurant offers different options.)

• Raleigh, North Hills: With a purchase of any item you get a free small beverage (fountain drinks and lemonade, coffee only).
• Durham: Free small drink (fountain, lemonade, coffee) with NO purchase
• Chapel Hill: Free small drink (fountain, lemonade, coffee) WITH purchase

Sweet Tomatoes:

• 10 percent off of drink and meal.  Or $6.99 for Salad bar and drink between 2-5pm

Ross:

• 10 percent off on everything in the store, but only on Tuesdays!

Great clips: Also individually owned so the offer varies. 

• Avent Ferry Rd:  $11 haircuts. Original price is $13.
• Brier Creek: Also $11

Kroger:

• North Carolina Senior Discount is 5% each Tuesday

Harris Teeter:

• 5% Discount for those over 65

Banana Republic:

• 10% off of everything.

Movie Theaters: 

• Raleigh Grande Theater: 60+ $6.75 tickets and $6.50 "Senior Combo" includes a 16 oz drink and a 46 oz popcorn
• Marbles IMax: $2 off Feature Films and $1 off documentaries. Original prices are $14 and $9 dollars respectively.
