I began my television career at WICU-TV in Erie, Pennsylvania. I spent 8 years anchoring the news in Erie before coming back to Toledo to work at WNWO-TV. I was the morning, and later main anchor at WNWO. In 2001 I ran a year-long special project for The City of Toledo called "It's Reigning Frogs." As you may remember, it was a public art display that brought tens of thousands of people to downtown Toledo and raised more than $150,000 for local charities. It was an extremely successful program that I truly enjoyed being part of.
When the special project was finished I went to work at the University of Findlay as the director of equine business development. I raised money and promoted their national championship equestrian programs, something very close to my heart. I began working here at 13 abc part-time in 2002 while working at the university. In December 2004 I took advantage of a great opportunity to work full-time here at the station.
In my free time I enjoy skiing, tennis and horseback riding. I compete my horse at shows around the region and in 2004 and 2005 we had the privilege of competing at the national finals horse shows in Harrisburg, PA and Washington, DC. My horse and I ranked in the top ten in the United States in our division in both 2004 and 2005. I am a member of the board of directors of five local charities including the American Cancer Society and YMCA Camp Storer.
