Since joining the team, Zack has helped 13abc report some of the biggest stories in Northwest Ohio. He was one of the reporters at the North Toledo Riot in 2005. He was also the first live reporter on the Bluffton University campus after a tragic bus accident claimed the lives of 7 people.
A Chicago-area native, it's tough to keep Zack indoors. He's an avid runner, soccer player, and basketball player. Be sure to catch Zack on the court during the 13abc All Star Games played throughout Northwest Ohio.
When it gets dark, Zack enjoys reading, writing and singing. In 2004, Zack sang a concert in Carnegie Hall. He also wrote a book for soon-to-be college students entitled The Freshman Survival Guide.
From 2002-2005, Zack reported and anchored for KOMU-TV in Columbia, Missouri. He placed 7th in the Hearst National Broadcast News Competition for his reporting. At the same time, he worked as a reporter, copy editor, and teaching assistant for Missouri Digital News, an outlet for KMOX news in St. Louis. The University Of Missouri School of Journalism, Zack's alma mater, runs the bureau. Zack graduated summa cum laude.
