Rebecca Regnier

Rebecca Regnier
"Don't I know you?" I get that question a lot. Most people think we're cousins or maybe friends from high school. Half the time we are. You see, I'm a hometown girl. If you don't know me, you probably know my sister Robin, my dad Bob, or Bill, my father-in-law. I went to Bedford High School and come from a long line of Whitmer and Central grads. I like to think I bring the "hometown" perspective to the stories I cover.

I started at WTVG in 1996 and have covered so many exciting stories. As a reporter I have had a front row seat to history. Conveying the emotion, the facts, and sometimes the humor is important to me. As an anchor I tried to bring my hometown perspective, reporter's eye, and even experiences as a mother to the stories we present.

I recently stepped down as an anchor for 13ABC Good Morning so that I could get a little more sleep while running around with the kids. I have been overwhelmed with greetings from viewers and want to thank you for every single message. I get misty everytime I open my email lately!

And I'll still be at 13ABC on Fridays at 6 p.m. for my 'People, Places and Things' segment. In fact, if you have a suggestion, shoot it my way. Or tell me about it when you see me cheering for a football team or clapping my hands to the marching band. Yep. That's me in the stands, hopefully with fewer dark circles!

I love to hear from you so email me at regnierr@abc.com or if you use Twitter.com follow me at RebeccaRegnier for the latest.
