The city of Toledo could find itself in contempt of court if leaders don't secure the building where a woman's body was found. The city failed to meet a deadline earlier this month. The judge says this is it, get it done, or he'll hold the entire Department of Neighborhoods in contempt. Judge McConnell gave the city until the end of the day tomorrow to put metal bars on the building. Residents consider the building a haven for crime and criminals. The judge agrees it's a nuisance. He says he will not tolerate any more continuances or any additional time. The city will face Judge McConnell again on November 25th.

The military says four U.S. service members were killed in attacks in the past 24 hours. NATO says three of the Americans died in southern Afghanistan yesterday. The military reports the fourth U.S. service member died in a bomb explosion today.

The death toll after a mine blast in China now stands at more than 100 people with four people still missing. Saturday's accident is being called the deadliest in China's mining industry in two years.

The radiation detected at the Three Mile Island nuclear plant near Middletown, Pennsylvania is no cause for concern. A Nuclear Regulatory Commission official says there's no sign the radiation exceeded safe limits. About 150 employees were sent home from the plant yesterday, but officials said there was no risk to the public. The plant's Unit 2 reactor has been shut down since a nuclear accident in March 1979.

Tucson police make a major drug bust at a warehouse over the weekend. Police say they found a ton of marijuana inside. Officers say they found some people dressed like police handling the pot. Officers also found handguns and an assault rifle. Police believe the pot was headed out of the area because of the way it was bundled.

Friends and family will say goodbye today to a Bowling Green man killed by the H1N1 virus. Kevin Babcock, 53, is Wood County's first H1N1 death. He died last week at Wood County Hospital. His family says he had a heart attack back in 2006 and never really recovered. He had pneumonia and bronchitis, and then came down with H1N1. Babcock's funeral is today in Grand Rapids. He leaves behind a daughter in her 20's.

Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown is speaking out about the health care debate. Brown says moderates in his party shouldn't be allowed to dictate the terms of the debate. He also says the final bill should include a government-run option for Americans without insurance. The health care bill would extend health care coverage to roughly 31 million people who don't have it. Debate on the bill is not expected until after Thanksgiving.

Hundreds of people paid tribute to a little girl who was found dead last week in North Carolina. Shaniya Davis's, 5, funeral was yesterday in Fayetteville. Police charged 29-year-old Mario McNeill with her kidnapping, rape and murder. Shaniya's mother, 25-year-old Antionette Davis, is also facing several charges, including human trafficking.

Los Angeles County police are releasing new information about the beating of a 12-year-old boy. Investigators say classmates targeted the boy after a Facebook post urging students to beat up redheads. Police say as many as 14 students kicked and hit the boy, who is a redhead, two separate times last week. They believe the post may have been inspired by a South Park episode. The boy was not seriously hurt.

Police in Streetsboro, Ohio say a bank robbery suspect may have actually eaten their evidence. Dash cam video shows 35-year-old John Ford lying across the front of the police cruiser. As police began emptying Ford's pockets, he started gobbling up a piece of paper, which investigators believe is the threatening note he handed the teller. Still, police say the bag of money with the exploded bank die-pack they found in Ford's car should be enough to charge him.

One local resident celebrated a very special 100th birthday this week. In 1909 Clara Volk Weinblatt was born in a small Russian town. Weinblatt's birthday was last week, but she celebrated her milestone birthday with family and friends yesterday at Kingston Care Center in Sylvania.

Michael Jackson's doctor is expected to return to work at his Houston medical clinic for the first time since the pop star's death. Dr. Conrad Murray has been the focus of a homicide investigation since telling police he gave Jackson a powerful operating room anesthetic to help him sleep. Murray has not been charged with anything yet.

If you live in Upper Sandusky you can make your voice heard at a citizens forum. Congressman Bob Latta is hosting the forum tonight from 7:00 to 8:30 at Upper Sandusky High School. Residents will have the chance to discuss important issues facing Ohio's Fifth Congressional District.

Informational meetings continue this week to discuss Toledo's automated trash and recycling collection. Toledo Councilman Michael Ashford is hosting a meeting tonight at 6:00 at the Mansion View Inn on Collingwood Boulevard.

The Reverend Jesse Jackson is making a stop in Toledo today. Jackson is expected to pay a visit to Woodward High School this afternoon to talk with juniors and seniors about the importance of education and attending college after high school. The event at Woodward is not open to the public. Jackson will also have breakfast with representatives from the NAACP and meet with Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur.

A new study says preschoolers are spending a lot more time in front of the TV at daycare. Researchers say as many as two hours a day. They say add that to the two to three hours many parents already admit to allowing at home, and those preschoolers may be spending more than a third of their 12 waking hours in front of the tube. The findings are published today in the journal Pediatrics.
