Bar shooting, H1N1 death, overnight house fire...

Two people have been shot after a confrontation at a Toledo bar. The shots rang out at the Big Shots Bar on West Central and Albion. Toledo police say the suspect was kicked out of the bar. At that time, he went to his car and apparently grabbed a weapon that police say could've been a gun. Police say the suspect then went back to the bar where a large crowd gathered outside. He fired, and then another suspect fired back. The suspect and another person likely involved in the shooting are both being treated this morning. The shooter is believed to be in critical condition.

Health officials have long said pregnant women are more at-risk of catching H1N1. Now it's hit home as Lucas County deals with its first possible death from the swine flu. Mandy Kimbler, 24, was hospitalized last month after falling ill. She gave birth to twin boys just a few days ago, then died at Toledo hospital. Local doctors say the most likely culprit is the H1N1 virus.

In the Fort Hood shootings, the suspect, Major Nidal Hasan, has been transferred to a new hospital and remains in a coma. Officials say Hasan fired more than 100 rounds when he shot and killed 13 people and injured more than 30 others. Hospital officials say some of the wounded have extremely serious injuries and might not survive.

Fire ripped through a home on Francis Avenue in Toledo overnight. Crews tell us the house has been vacant for two weeks. Neighbors were evacuated, but crews were able to contain the fire. No one was injured and crews continue to investigate.

The wife of an Ohio soldier says she listened in horror as her husband's cell phone picked up the screams and gunfire from the deadly shooting at Fort Hood. Melissa Berry of Mason says her husband called her Thursday afternoon from inside the army base's processing center, where authorities say Major Nidal Hasan opened fire.

The man accused of opening fire at the engineering firm where he once worked in Orlando, Florida was reportedly upset about jobless benefits. One person died and five were wounded in yesterday's shooting. Police say the suspect, Jason Rodriguez, apologized while being handcuffed and told them he was "going through a tough time right now." At a recent bankruptcy hearing, Rodriguez said he was $90,000 in debt.

Anti-abortion holdouts are no longer holding up a vote on health care reform. A vote could come today after President Barack Obama makes a late morning trip to the capitol to make one final pitch for the legislation. The leadership hopes that no matter how that vote turns out, Democrats will unite to give the health care bill a majority over unanimous Republican opposition.

The Los Angeles city council has given preliminary approval to an ordinance that would ban the declawing of cats. Council members described the procedure as unnecessary and cruel and hope to get the ordinance passed before the new year.

A young bear cub is recovering in California after being hit by a car. The bear was hit on a highway. She was able to crawl to the guard rail, but both of her hind legs were broken. Veterinarians were able to put pins in both limbs for support and say she's making dramatic improvements. The bear is now named Bailey named after the city she was found in. After she gets better, the Fish and Game Department will place her in a safe habitat.

New details have been released in the rape allegations involving star quarterback and Findlay native, Ben Roethlisberger. The woman who filed the lawsuit against him has quit her job at the Lake Tahoe hotel where she claims the assault happened. The woman's lawyer says she quit because of "the way Harrah's was treating her." She is seeking a minimum of $440,000 from Roethlisberger and at least $50,000 from Harrah's officials who she claims conspired to cover it up.

Animal shelters across the country take in dozens of animals a day, but one little puppy in Arizona is special. Roo was born with only two legs. Officials at the animal shelter say she was abandoned and left by her previous owner. Staff hope to fit her with a special device with wheels that will help her get along a little better.
