The operators of both motorcycles are expected to be okay.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol in Erie County is investigating a double motorcycle accident.
Authorities say, Michael Peterman, 19, was traveling South on Maple Ave. near Homegardner Rd. when he lost control of his bike.
Officials say Matthew Turner, 18, was following too close to Peterman and then slammed into his 2005 Honda CRB 1000 motorcycle.
Both men were thrown from their motorcycles. Peterman was taken to Firelands Hospital for treatment. Turner was treated for minor injuries at the scene.
Authorities say both men were wearing helmets at the time of the crash.
