Toledo woman goes missing on cruise ship

The investigation continues into the disappearance of a Toledo woman from a Carnival cruise ship. Family members confirm Tammy Grogan, 36, was reported missing Monday. Grogan was traveling on a cruise to Key West and Calica, Mexico.

Grogan was last seen by a family member early Sunday morning after leaving a port in Mexico. Monday, her family reported her as missing.

We spoke to Grogan's sister who lives in Toledo. She said at this time the family does not wish to comment. Carnival Cruise released a statement which says, "At this time, no foul play is supsected."

Tammy's apartment was broken into this week. Investigators were at her home today investigating the robbery. Family members say right now there are no leads.

Cruise ship disappearances unfortunately, are not uncommon.

The International Council of Cruise Lines says 24 people disappeared from cruise ships from 2003 to 2005.

In July, Elizabeth Galeana of Florida fell off a cruise ship and drowned. Her body was found off the coast of Italy last month.

In May, Daniel Dipiero of Canfield, Ohio fell off a ship after a night of heavy drinking.

One of the highest profile cases happened last summer when George Allen smith vanished from his honeymoon cruise in the Mediterranean after a night of drinking.

No one has been charged and his body hasn't been found.
