Springfield school evacuated

The investigation is wrapped up and emergency vehicles have left the scene.

Officials at Springfield schools tells 13abc Action News that students at Springfield high school had been evacuated to the middle school as a precaution. At 9:20 a.m., an all-clear was issued. Students are back in class.

Authorities say someone called in a tip that a student would bring bomb-making materials to school.

Authorities checked it out and found materials in a locker. Those materials have been isolated. A student has been detained and is being questioned. Police are continuing to investigate. Nobody has been injured.
