An Erie Market staple is expected to stay put for the next five years. According to The Toledo Blade, the Libbey Glass Outlet store will sign a five-year renewal lease with Erie Street Market. Mayor Carty Finkbeiner is expected to announce the renewal later this afternoon. The work on preparing Toledo's tallest building for a new tenant continues. Fifth Third is getting ready to move into its Toledo headquarters to One Seagate building. Staff will move there from mid-October through November. The banking center itself will open up in early October. Fifth Third takes over space formerly occupied by Owens-Illinois which left the downtown late last year and moved its headquarters to a new campus in Perrysburg.

The zoo has welcomed another new addition. A male colobus monkey was born on August 21. He doesn't have a name yet, but you can already visit him at the primate forest where he's hanging around with his parents and his older brother Sudi. The birth is a happy occasion for many since colobus monkey populations are at risk in the wild due to the de-forestation of their African habitat.

Summer flooding in Carey has delayed a benefit concert for victims of a deadly apartment fire. Dashelle Lynch and Rachelle Rice were badly burned in the June fire. Lynch died last month. Rice has been upgraded to fair condition at St. V's. Neither one had health insurance, so friends planned a country music benefit concert last weekend to help pay the bills. After severe flooding, they had to cancel. Relatives now tell us the concert is re-scheduled for October.

The housing slump and credit crunch that are worrying financial markets and homebuyers also have President Bush's attention. A senior administration official says Bush will discuss ways to help hundreds of thousands of hard-hit borrowers, many in the sub prime mortgage market.

An accident at Erie and Walnut sent one person to the hospital. Police tell us a car ran through a red light and hit another car. Crews at the scene say the one person who was taken to the hospital had non-life threatening injuries.

A camera lowered into a seventh borehole at a Utah mine has picked up no trace of six missing miners. All it found was less than 3 feet of clear space amid mud and rubble. A mine agency spokesman says they aren't giving up hope but are running short of options.

A Michigan man is in custody and police say they think he might be a serial killer. Lansing police have been looking for clues into five homicides in the area since late July, two happened this week. All of the victims are women. The man hasn't been charged yet, but Lansing's mayor believes police have their man and says the city's "Nightmare is over".

The Monclova Baptist Church will have to find a new place for its expansion. The church wanted to build a new facility, school and athletic fields on a 45-acre lot on Monclova Road. Last month, township trustees approved the plan, but the Lucas County planning commission denied it. In another vote late last night, township trustees turned down the permit in front of a capacity crowd.

It reported more than 159,000 delays so far this season. At a news conference, the FAA administrator said something has to be done. She says that new technology is in the works, which will help combat the problem. The FAA hopes to get its "Next generation air transportation system" up and running by 2013. Supporters of the project say it will reduce delays by more efficiently managing runway traffic.

President Bush meets with the Joint Chiefs of Staff today to hear their views on Iraq. He is expected to hear deep concerns about the long-term impact of the heavy troop presence on U.S. forces. Bush is to deliver a progress report to congress September 15.

It's the last day on the job for President Bush's political advisor, Karl Rove. Rove, a man considered the architect of Bush's two terms in office, quit earlier this month. Rove says he wants to spend more time with his family.

She is accused of crashing weddings for cash and today she will be sentenced. Maumee police charged Victoria Cramer with petty theft and receiving stolen property. Police say she took envelopes filled with money from a wedding earlier this month. Last month, Cramer pleaded no contest to the charges against her.

Are you ready for a celebration 150 years in the making? Today marks the start of the 150 Fulton County Fair. The opening ceremonies start at 5 p.m. featuring Robert Boggs, the director of the Ohio Department of AG. It's at the Fulton County Fairgrounds, the fair features country music, tractor pulls and much more. Admission for the day is just $5.

Despite wet fair grounds, the Hancock County Fair will go on as scheduled throughout the weekend. The fairgrounds manager says holding the fair might help the area heal and give flood victims a needed distraction. Because of the flooding, admission is just $4.

Te GM/UAW local 14 is hosting a family cookout. It includes a rib-off, arts and crafts, and a dunk tank. The festivities start at noon tomorrow and go until 8 p.m. There's a $1 fee to get in and all proceeds go to Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Northwestern Ohio.
