Program raised funds for nonprofit organizations that benefit children

An Adrian man is taking on child obesity by making exercise a little more fun. After ten weeks he showed off his new athletes to the community.

At today's Adrian Freedom Festival, Gary Gray introduced his free2play program that encourages healthy living through kids exercising and sharing their excitement with other kids.

About 1,200 middle schoolers from Lenawee County took part in the fetival held at Adrian College. The concept is that everyone is an athlete. And in this case, these athletes used sport to raise money for worthy causes.

The Adrian students are the pilot for Gray's free2play program. He hopes to find a sponsor to take it nationwide. To read more about the program and the "literacy of movement," click here.
