H1N1 vaccinations, man stabbed in his home, major Iraq car bomb attack...

Hundreds of people waited in line for hours to receive their H1N1 vaccines today at the Lucas County Health Department's vaccination clinic at St. Francis Desalles High School. The line wrapped around the high school. The health department says they were expecting close to 5,000 people. Today's clinic was for people six months to 24 years old, health care providers, and caregivers of children six months and younger. Health department officials say it was the largest flu clinic held in the city so far. Over 20 nurses were administering the shots and 80 volunteers helped get people through the lines and registration. The health department says since they were expecting a large crowd and had plenty of vaccines for everyone.

The investigation into the plane crash that killed two people near Adrian, Michigan has been turned over to the NTSB. The plane was en-route from Scranton, Pennsylvania to the Lenawee County airport when it crashed into a field in Raisin Township late Friday afternoon. The Toledo Blade has identified the victims as Eric Beaudry, 51, and his wife, Deb Roger-Beaudry. The couple was heading to visit family in Lenawee County.

Toledo police are trying to figure out who shot a man inside a home in the 400 block of Fox Chapel overnight. That victim was transported to UTMC with non-life threatening injuries. Police continue to investigate the incident and are still looking for who pulled the trigger.

A Toledo man remains in critical condition after he was stabbed inside his own home. Toledo police say someone broke into the home of Michael Rembowski and stabbed him. Authorities are still looking for a suspect.

A new poll suggests that Ohio voters continue their strong support of Issue 3. A Columbus Dispatch poll found that 57% of registered voters support the proposal. Only 39% oppose the plan. Issue 3 would put casinos in Toledo, Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati. Ohio voters have defeated gambling measures four times since 1990. The most recent was last year.

Independent mayoral candidate Mike Bell will kick-off his television campaign for mayor tomorrow. Bell's 30 second spot will emphasize his plan for jobs and safety and his goals for an inclusive and transparent government.

Democratic mayoral candidate Keith Wilkowski has already been touting his campaign plan on the TV airwaves for weeks. Today, the candidate spent time talking with Toledoans at the Greater Close Park Halloween parade.

The 13abc mayoral debate is coming up this Tuesday. Bell and Wilkowski will face-off at 7 p.m. at Bowsher High School's auditorium. The public is welcome. We'll also being airing the debate live.

The UAW's president says opponents of the union's deal with Ford are putting out misinformation to get members to vote against it. Ron Gettelfinger says that the union did not give up its right to strike in the next round of contract talks as claimed by opponents. He says UAW members can strike on every issue except wage and benefit increases. Ford's 41,000 union workers are voting on a deal that brings the automaker near labor cost parity with its U.S. counterparts Chrysler and General Motors.

Two huge car bombs in Baghdad have left at least 136 people dead and as many as 600 others injured. The blasts came less than a minute apart and struck the Iraq's Justice Ministry and a local governor's office. The bombs were timed to go off at one of the busiest times of day in one of the busiest parts of Baghdad. Hours after the explosions rescue workers are still sifting thru the rubble and the wreckage looking for bodies and survivors. It's the worst attack the country has seen in over two years.

The NTSB is conducting interviews with the crew of Northwest Airlines flight 188. That was the plane that overshot the Minneapolis airport by 150 miles earlier in the week. Traffic controllers tried to contact the flight for more than an hour. It eventually landed safely. The pilot and co-pilot are among those being interviewed. The NTSB has no comment at this time

The average price of regular unleaded over the past two weeks has jumped $0.18 to $2.66. The National Lundberg Survey says Tucson, Arizona has the nation's lowest prices at $2.24. Anchorage, Alaska was the high spot at $3.25.
