While emptying his trunk of groceries, a guy came up to him pointing a gun and told him to empty his pockets.

A Flint, Michigan man is recovering after a bizarre attempted robbery. Pat Gillespie fought his attacker with a bottle of Pepsi.

The 77 year old Air Force veteran, GM retiree, and widower came home Thursday afternoon from the grocery store. As he emptied his trunk, a guy came up to him and pointed a gun at him and told him to empty his pockets. That's when the war vet fought back with a Pepsi bottle.

Besides a small limp, Gillespie is doing fine. He even drank almost all the Pepsi from his weapon of choice.
