Election Day approaching, Cleveland bodies found, Perrysburg hit-and-run, Tecumseh St. fire...

Election Day is this Tuesday. Board of Elections President Linda Howe tells us early voting has picked up some the last few days. Issue 3 is driving most of the interest. It's the plan to build four casinos in Ohio. Five times in the past 20 years, Ohio voters have rejected gambling issues. This weekend, supporters and opponents of Issue 3 were each doing all they can to boost turnout for the election. The Ohio Jobs and Growth Committee, which is supporting the casino issue, has staff and volunteers going door-to-door in major cities. Opponents are coordinating with churches to put up thousands of signs asking voters to oppose the proposal.

Then there's Issue 2, a measure that would establish a board to oversee the care of livestock. The Ohio Farm Bureau is encouraging farmers to support the proposal, while the Humane Society of the United States is urging a 'no' vote.

The polls are open from 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. For information on polling locations, contact your county's Board of Elections office.
