Rabbits can make great pets and can be litter trained!

Black rabbit's name is Raven. Raven is a 6 month old Havana rabbit.

Rabbits can make great pets, but do require care and work like all other animals. Rabbits can be litter trained, but require a special litter designed for rabbits. They are social animals and like attention. They must be handled properly and are delicate animals that don't like to be held much.

Before considering bringing a rabbit into your home, you should research what it takes to care for rabbits. If you stop by the Toledo Area Humane Society, they have literature and information that can help you learn about rabbits.

If you determine rabbits would make a great fit into your home, the Toledo Area Humane Society has a variety of domesticated rabbits and other pocket pets.

We currently have available for adoption:

• Six rabbits
• A guinea pig
• Five parakeets
• Ten rats

Toledo Area Humane Society is participating in the Maumee Holiday Light Parade tonight at 6:30 p.m. in downtown Maumee. Come see all of their adoptable dogs walk the parade!
