Just a few families trickled into Waite High School this morning to receive the vaccine

Earlier this fall, people waited hours in line to be vaccinated for H1N1. Not any more. Just a few families trickled into Waite High School this morning.

Last weekend, the Lucas County Health Department began vaccinating Toledo Public School students. Only 400 showed up. Today's clinic was a similar story. Only 100 children received the vaccine.

The Health Department is practically begging families to come. With 8,000 doses on hand and such a small turnout, health officials have now opened the clinic to anyone 6 months and older with chronic conditions.

Healthy individuals are still being turned away, because even though there is plenty of vaccine available now, officials don't know if it will stay that way.

Tomorrow's vaccine clinic is open to anyone 6 months and older with chronic conditions. It's at Bowsher High School from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
