The Minnesota Wild have placed right wing Martin Havlat and defenseman Brent Burns on injured reserve.

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The Minnesota Wild have placed right wing Martin Havlat and defenseman Brent Burns on injured reserve.

Burns has been feeling the effects from a concussion and also had an illness this week. Havlat has been hampered by a hamstring injury.

Havlat has been a disappointment after being signed to help make up for the scoring lost when Marian Gaborik left for the Rangers. He has two goals and six assists in 19 games this season.

The moves are retroactive to Nov. 18. Defenseman Jaime Sifers was recalled from the Wild's AHL affiliate in Houston to help fill in for Burns.
